For fast change-over from one product recipe to another, you would normally have to wait until the cooler is empty. When you change products many times per day this will take too much time. By adding a second cooler deck (or Intermediate Gate) to your existing cooler you can avoid this problem.
The Intermediate Gate effectively stores the new product recipe while the "old" product recipe is properly cooled in the main cooler bin. As soon as the main cooler bin is empty you can open the Intermediate Gate to continue cooling as usual.
The Intermediate Gate can be used in combination with both the Triple Grid Cooler and the Swivel Valve Cooler.
Remote Discharge control
Remote control of discharge settings on a Swivel Valve cooler is possible with the angle encoders which provide an mA signal to the controller, enabling the operator or plant control system to select different discharge positions for different products (optional).
Cooler insulation
Optional insulation of the hood and bin walls leads to a significant reduction in the risk of internal condensation (optional).
Bevelled corners
Bevelled corners in the hopper ensure that no product or fines build up in this vulnerable place (standard).
Cooler fire safety
A fire valve in the hood cuts off the supply of fresh air in case temperature in the cooler reaches a pre-set limit (optional).
Operator safety
Sensors and control systems ensure that no access to the inside of the equipment is possible without first shutting down all moving parts (standard).
Air flow control
With Automatic
Air Flow Control Valves air volume
can be accurately controlled. There is automatic stabilisation
of air volume, irrespective of the bed depth, and the required
air volume can be recipe dependent. No more blow holes during
start up or emptying, no more excessive amounts of fines
flying into the cyclone.
