Back to News July 2006 Insulated coolers Geelen Counterflow have started to deliver coolers with insulated hood and bin walls. Rather than relying on insulation to be added after installation, more and more customers want the insulation to be integrated into the design of the machine. That way higher standards of sanitation are possible. For example, the hood is completely welded in a double walled stainless steel 304 execution with rockwool in between. There is no risk of dust or dirt to build up behind the insulation material, as is often the case when the cooler is insulated after installation. Another advantage is that sensors and drives remain easily accessible and that insulation can be designed around flanges and the door. Many cooler users require insulation on their coolers these days because it leads to a very significant reduction of condensation risks inside the cooler. Geelen Counterflow's dryers are all insulated as a standard and now the same insulation system is optionally available for counterfow coolers as well.
